About Me

If you decided to visit this page, that probably means that you want to learn more about me. Apart from aquired skills, there are many other things that define a person.

In this subpage, I'd like to share a couple of my interests and hobbies. Unfortunately, life is busy, so I don't get to do all the things I'd like, but I still try to make some time for activities that I enjoy.

I really enjoy watching movies and TV shows. I used to love superhero movies (e.g. most Marvel movies before 2019), but now I also watch dystopian ones. I really liked The Giver and Gattaca, but I also watch comedies, like L'Ora Legale.

Regarding TV shows, last year I was watching random seasons from the Doctor Who series (from 2005) and I am currently in the 9th season of The Office.

I also enjoy books of similar genres. Some of my all-time favorites are: Harry Potter, The Maze Runner, Good Omens and The Hunger Games

Apart from consuming art, I like producing art as well. My hobbies include sketching and writing, but sometimes I also paint. I am not claiming to be good at all this, but I am not doing it for anyone else other than me. For me, art is neither a job nor a means to connect with others. It is a means to connect with myself and I do it to please myself. This is why there aren't any of my works on any of my social. I feel like my art is personal to myself, and this is why I feel more comfortable with it being imperfect.

Lastly, I enjoy taking long walks, preferably in a forest or a beach, but also in quiet roads. My favorite time for a walk is in the afternoon, right before sunset, so I get to see the sunset in a nice place, and then get back home at dusk. In Patras, where I am currently studying, we have lots of parks and easy access to the beach, so I find it really convenient. This is one of the reasons I love this city so much!

When I walk, I usually listen to a podcast (something comedic or a Harry Potter podfic) or to music. I prefer 10s pop punk and punk rock. Some bands I really like are All Time Low, Simple Plan and Rise Against (I don't know if these bands really belong in these genres, I am pretty sure there is a forum somewhere on the interent where multiple people are arguing about it. I personally think that nowadays, with such special kinds of music and songs, there is not much point in trying to place all bands in a specific chategory, especially when one band can make such different songs in the span of a few years).
